Case Study: Sunderland Ski Centre

Sunderland Ski Centre, Stadium Village

This project involved complex site assembly to facilitate development of a large leisure facility including an indoor ski slope.

We were retained to negotiate acquisition of a site which was in a number of fragmented ownerships and we successfully acquired 90% of the freehold interests by agreement under a deemed CPO basis.

More recently we have been advising on the planning implications of an edge of centre facility, sequential testing and the merits of disaggregating the constituent parts of the project. With the benefit of our advice we agreed an approach to the difficult planning issues.
