Acting on behalf of the Joint Administrators at BWC Business Solutions, our Asset Advisory team in Leeds has sold No. 18 Appleton Court at Calder Park, Wakefield to a private investor.

The 1,853 sq ft office building provides two floors of modern, mainly open plan accommodation and benefits from having 8 car parking spaces.

Neil Bestwick, a partner in our Asset Advisory team commented, “We’re pleased to have completed the sale of this office property which has generated a healthy level of interest given its suitability for both owner occupation and investment purposes together with its modern, well specified fit out.

 “Calder Park is a great location just off junction 39 of the M1 motorway and the sale has been completed in a relatively swift timescale, meeting the expectations of both the Administrators and the appointing lender.”

The property sold for the guide price of £200,000 and we understand the purchaser has already secured a tenant.

June Deals Update

During May we were delighted to announce the appointment of three new shareholding partners. Christian Humphreys head of our asset based lending team, Matthew Lawrence head of our property management team and Mark Sheridan head of our Bristol office all became shareholders, bringing our total number to 28. With the holiday season fast approaching our North West asset advisory and recovery team completed the sale of three guest houses in Southport, a large seaside town in Merseyside on the coast of the Irish Sea. Across the Pennines, in Yorkshire we have recently brought a number of properties to market, including a Grade II listed building with development potential in Skipton and request for offers on an income producing office investment in the heart of Leeds city centre. In North Yorkshire our agency team sold a large 26,592 sq ft industrial unit in Castlevale Park, part of the Gatherley Road Industrial Estate in Catterick. In Bristol we have recently expanded our team with the appointment of Chris Howell as associate partner. Commenting on his appointment, Chris said, “I am delighted to be joining Sanderson Weatherall and look forward to developing both property management and agency services in the South-West.” Our building consultancy team recently helped provide St John’s the Evangelist Church in East Witton with a new lease of life thanks to repair and maintenance work carried out earlier this year.
