Graduates

Our graduate and undergraduate recruits are entered onto our formal training programme, which is well recognised in the market.

You will receive broad based experience across a range of disciplines coupled with training courses and team study. As part of preparing you for the APC, you’ll take part in structured training, mock interviews and receive advice from external consultants on presentation and interview skills.

Newcastle: Architecture

Department Architecture Reporting To Head of building consultancy, George Penrice Hours Full time 09.00-17.15 Principle purpose of the role To assist the Partner in all aspects of architectural services provided by Sanderson Weatherall To assist in economic growth of the Building Consultancy and Architecture Department Providing an architectural input to facilitate current and future client instructions on both a local and national level To assist the Partner in promoting the services of SW during client meetings and SW corporate events. To display a professional attitude towards work commitments, ensuring the reputation of SW as a practice is maintained. Further information regarding Aspects of work Duties is contained within the SW QA (Quality Assurance) Architectural Practice Area Instructions. Qualifications/Experience Educated to a degree level in an ARB accredited course (BSc or BA Hons). A driving license is essential. Physical Conditions The post holder will be based at the Newcastle office and required on occassion to travel to other SW offices to meet with other SW staff and clients. Job Development All employees are expected to keep up to date of developments in legislation and property regulations. The post holder will be required to continually update their knowledge through either SW organised CPD events or specfic courses which benefit the department. Job Title Senior Surveyor Department Asset Management Principal Purpose of Job To work alongside an Associate Partner in the Asset Management Department of our Newcastle office, and to actively promote the services and enhance the reputation of Sanderson Weatherall as a Practice. Specific Duties and Details of Actual Work To work alongside an Associate Partner within our busy asset management department on a varied portfolio of predominantly commercial properties. The role encompasses asset management, advice to clients along with some Landlord and Tenant matters. To ensure compliance with legal requirements. To ensure the policy of Best Practice is adhered to at all times. To ensure QA (Quality Assurance) procedures and records are maintained. To ensure that all work is carried out competently and right first time; within the time set down. To ensure fee management is maximised by providing interim accounts and details of fee recovery as required. Qualifications/Experience Must hold a degree or appropriate diploma, and be a Member of RICS. S/he must have a good working knowledge of the relevant legislation. Strong client relationship skills. A full driving licence is essential. Physical Conditions The post holder will be based at Newcastle but must be prepared to travel to other sites on a regular basis.
