Sanderson Weatherall LLP was appointed to act on behalf of Pinsent Mason LLP in respect of the head lease rent of their 79,000 sq ft office building in Leeds (Passing rent £1,666,750 pa).

The landlord had notified Pinsent Mason that he was seeking a revised rent. As a result of Sanderson Weatherall expertise and market knowledge the rent was finally Awarded at £1,645,000 pa following negotiations and an Arbitration process, with all Pinsent Masons costs been met by the landlord as well.

Well, the UK’s largest independent pharmacy business, has re-appointed us to provide advice on its 165 northern branches.

Manchester-based Well, formerly known as The Co-operative Pharmacy, has renewed the relationship, that began six years ago.

 The re-appointment follows the organisations’ partnership lapsing due to The Co-operative Pharmacy’s purchase in October last year for £620m by London-based multinational family-owned company Bestway Group. A six-month transition period followed the sale, during which the pharmacy organisation was advised by its vendor The Co-operative Group.

Our renewed service to Well will be delivered by our lease consultancy experts and will cover matters such as renewals and rent reviews, plus the provision of ad-hoc advice. It will be supplied from our offices in Manchester, Leeds and Newcastle.

Meredith May, national property manager, Well, said: “We’re delighted to be working with Sanderson Weatherall again because we built up a good relationship and developed a very effective partnership with that organisation previously. In a nutshell, the firm has shown that it understands who we are and what we’re about.
