Former Leonard Cheshire care homes on the market in Lincolnshire
Leonard Cheshire Disability, a major UK health and welfare charity, has appointed us to sell three of their former care homes, two of which are located in Lincolnshire.
Leonard Cheshire provide support to thousands of people across the UK from their network of over 100 care homes with the charity’s main objective to provide effective and efficient community-based services to disabled people that respond to their preferences.
The first of the properties, Hovenden House, is an attractive Grade II listed Victorian property located in the picturesque village of Fleet, Lincolnshire. The building provides 32 bedrooms, as well as communal, office and storage space and a detached former day building and coach block that would be suitable for conversion.
The second property, Stonecroft House, provides 26 bedrooms along with communal sitting rooms, a large dining room and all necessary care facilities with assisted bathrooms recently refurbished to a high standard. Stonecroft House is situated in Barnetby Le Wold, a rural village located near the bustling market town of Brigg.
Healthcare specialist at Sanderson Weatherall, James McKelvie commented, “The properties are full of character and offer potential purchasers excellent development opportunities. The properties have provided care to numerous individuals over many years and it would be brilliant to see a buyer put these sites into a productive use.”
“They are all ideally located and boast a number of desirable characteristics and we expect to receive significant interest.”
