How our new office transformed our business

Matthew Clarke, head of our Teesside office, talks about how our new office space has transformed the business. “It’s been a year since we moved into our office at Bowesfield Park. On paper the second floor 1,532 sq ft space was providing an upgrade in terms of a newer property with a high specification, but in practice our new office has changed our team dynamic, and the way we work.


Teesside commercial property experts introduce three new associate partners to their team

Our Teesside team has grown by the introduction of three associate partners to their office. Business rates expert, Tim Dyson; industrial agent, Darren Naylor; and building surveyor, Kenny Hiles will now be working with our Teesside team to strengthen their offering as the only full-service commercial property consultancy in the area. Tim has 23 years’ experience in business rates, providing businesses with advice on rating appeals, valuations and empty rates mitigation. Darren brings with him 8 years’ experience working in the North East commercial property market, and will focus on industrial acquisitions and disposals across the area.


Teesside Agency Update

Our Teesside agency team had a great month in February, continuing their strong start to 2017 with a number of deals completed, new instructions and properties currently under offer. Our completed deals include the letting of a 5,210 sq ft unit at Durham Lane Industrial Park to Hot Price Tubs, within just one week of the property going on the market.


New office for our Teesside team

We have recently reinforced our commitment to the Tees Valley region with a move to a high-quality new office in Stockton on Tees. Our Teesside team has moved to brand new, second floor 1,532 sq ft premises at Roseberry House, Kingfisher Court on the Bowesfield Park development, delivered by The Banks Group. The mixed use scheme is located just south of Stockton with excellent transport links and modern commercial and residential accommodation, sitting alongside a 15-hectare wildlife conservation area.


Newburn manufacturing unit, MGM House, goes on the market

A 58,879 sq ft manufacturing unit, located in Newburn, Newcastle upon Tyne, has gone on the market at an asking price of £1.8m. The unit, which is situated on a 2.42 acres site, comprises of five modern workshops, two principle factory units and interlinking office space. Industrial agent Darren Naylor said, “There is a real shortage of good quality industrial properties of this size in the North East, so this is a fantastic and rare opportunity for an owner occupier or investor.”


Middlesbrough FC goalkeeper opens new restaurant

Middlesbrough FC goalkeeper Dimi Konstantopoulos’ opens new restaurant in Middlesbrough, following assistance from our North East agency team. Acting on behalf of Penza Properties, we were involved in the letting and negotiation of unit 1, 248 Linthorpe Road, the new home of Great, Dimi’s Greek restaurant venture.  Dimi said: “I couldn’t be happier with the restaurant now that it’s open. The décor, ambiance and quality of food showcase the best of Greek cuisine and I’m grateful to Sanderson Weatherall for making the process as smooth as possible. “Reactions to the restaurant have been very positive so far and I’m really looking forward to its future successes.”


Unit let in less than one week at Stockton's Durham Lane Industrial Park

Acting on behalf of Dickens Warehousing Ltd, our Teesside agency team has let a 5,210 sq ft unit at Durham Lane Industrial Park to Hot Price Tubs, within one week of the property going on the market. Hot Price Tubs, a leading hot tub retailer in UK and Ireland, has let the unit, located on Guiseley Way in Stockton-On-Tees, on a three year lease. Bob Goodrum, company secretary at Dickens Warehousing Ltd commented, “Hot Price Tubs is a great occupier at Durham Lane Industrial Park.


Agency team named as the most active in the North East

We are pleased to announce that we have been named the most active commercial property agency in the North East by Estates Gazette, in what is widely regarded as one of the top accolades for real estate agents In the past year, our North East agency teams have let or sold a total of over 1.8 million sq ft of commercial, retail and industrial space across the region. Our Newcastle and Teesside offices have been awarded the title for transactions they completed between January 1 and December 31, 2016.


A look ahead at the North East leisure industry
